Because of this, hospitality management is an attractive career to professionals from many different backgrounds. Whether your background is in business, marketing, public relations or culinary arts, you will find many hospitality management jobs at Hcareers.

In the hospitality industry, some professionals work with customers face-to-face, while others keep operations running smoothly behind the scenes. Regardless of your preference, consider the Hcareers job board an essential tool in your search for hospitality management jobs. Top employers in all vertical markets of the hospitality industry post their open management jobs in hospitality at Hcareers. You will find hospitality executive jobs in hotels and casinos, travel and tourism, on cruise ships, and in restaurants, bars and nightclubs. Available hospitality positions also include management roles within nursing homes and assisted living facilities as well as those within conference and event centers.

Education and experience required for hospitality management jobs depends on many factors, from the size and type of establishment to the level of the role. Some entry-level management positions may require as little as a high school diploma and previous management experience. For example, the food and beverage management and food service management verticals may hire entry-level managers who have previous management experience in a restaurant or food service setting.

Mid-level and executive-level hospitality management jobs are more likely to require specialized training and an associate or bachelor's degree. For example, candidates for hotel management and executive positions may need a degree in hotel management or administration. Human resource management positions may require degrees in business or human resources. Other useful degrees for hospitality management jobs include tourism management, culinary arts, marketing, public relations and, of course, hospitality management.

The employment outlook for hospitality management jobs within all verticals of the industry is excellent. Despite a sluggish economy, Americans continue to travel (staying at hotels or taking cruises), dining out (eating and drinking at restaurants, bars and nightclubs), and engaging in other entertainment related activities such as (gambling at casinos or attending sporting events). And, as the population ages, nursing homes and assisted living facilities are also seeing an influx of residents. Consider this snapshot of employment projections within the hospitality industry:

The Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) forecasts that employment in food service and drinking establishments will increase at a pace of eight percent through 2018.

The National Restaurant Association expects employment within the food service industry to increase to 14.3 million professionals by 2022.

The American Gaming Association reports that casino jobs have increased more than 70 percent over the last 22 years. This incredible pace is expected to continue.

The Florida Caribbean Cruise Association reports that 26 new cruise ships will be built by 2014, further increasing the number of hospitality management jobs, specifically cruise line management and executives.

The BLS forecasts employment in resorts and hotels will increase five percent by 2018, though surveys conducted by ManpowerGroup and PKF Hospitality Research are more generous in their predictions, expecting growth of as much as 14 percent.
