The Palm Court is the “heart of the hotel”. Italian checkerboard
marble flooring, fine rugs, elegant seating and a gold leafed ceiling
create a wonderful warm and luxurious feeling in this world famous lounge.
Savour the ambience, whilst being serenaded by the resident harpist. The
Palm Court is a member of the Tea Guilds Council which is a valued recognition
of Palm Court’s excellence in keeping the highest standards in both
the preparation and serving of tea and complimentary food.
The relaxed and informal dining of the award-winning Citrus Restaurant,
a favourite among all guests, features the finest in contemporary Mediterranean
cuisine. With views of the Green Park and access to Piccadilly, this friendly
establishment also has an outdoor patio available during the warmer months.
The hotel also has numerous Banqueting rooms including the celebrated
Ballroom, a superb example of art deco design. A smaller but no less elegant
alternative is the Tudor Rose room with its light contemporary wall coverings.
For a more traditional atmosphere, the Oak Room takes its splendid panelling
and richly carved ceiling from the 13th Century Globe Inn at Banbury,
Oxfordshire. Meanwhile a number of smaller rooms offer their own distinct
decor and ambience for more intimate occasions such as board meetings
or private dinners.
