Our Development Opportunities
Starwood leads the way in Training and Development with its own Starwood Development Centre which allows all Associates to complete training programmes on-line.
Among the many opportunities available to all levels within our organisation, is the ability to complete on-line programmes from Cornell University in the U.S and The Hague Hotelschool in The Netherlands, both leading hospitality schools. Associates can access courses in both these universities as well as a variety of other programmes through our Starwood Development Centre.
Associates are actively encouraged to cross train in other departments to ensure they gain all the experience they require in this every changing industry. In addition to this, Associates can transfer internally or internationally to other Starwood properties and The Westin Dublin has certainly gained from this policy! Some of our most senior managers are people who worked for Starwood internationally and transferred to The Westin Dublin.
