Angie, world’s 1st hotel voice-based guestroom assistant wins tech award
Hotel Technology Next Generation (HTNG) announced this week the winner of their 2017 TechOvation Award during their HT-NEXT Awards ceremony in Orlando, Fl: a new technology called “Angie,” created by Angie Hospitality. The contest, sponsored by Datatrend Technologies, recognizes technological innovations in the hospitality industry.
Angie is the world’s first voice-based guestroom assistant and integrated room-control device. According to HTNG, Angie features “a highly intuitive multi-lingual voice interface that responds to guest/staff requests, and route via SMS/email, call or directly into hotel systems. Angie integrates with lighting, thermostat, telephone, TV systems, room service, housekeeping amenities, provides local information and much more.” Angie also provides Wifi, which enables the guest to connect to the service across all devices.
In an effort to redefine hotel rooms of the future and redefine the guest experience, Angie will replace multiple devices in a hotel guest room – such as the Wifi network, telephone, alarm clock, occupancy sensors, lights, temperature controls, TV remote, Bluetooth, or nightlight – allowing the guest to access all of these services through one voice-activated system. This new hotel technology also has the ability remember guests’ preferences every time they check into a hotel, providing guests with even more of a customized experience regardless of where they are.
But, it doesn’t end there. Angie can also provide hotel guests with reservations, guest request routing, concierge services, amenity scheduling, flight information, transportation or Uber requests, and a variety of local or international information.
Angie Hospitality launched this new, revolutionary product at HT-NEXT and will be available for order beginning in June.
