Sodexo Education is seeking a Food Service Manager 2 to assist with managing a nutrition program for Burton Valley Elementary School District, located in Moraga, CA. Burton is a premier school district with 4 schools and over 1,500 students.
The Food Service Manager will oversee food service and culinary operations for each of the sites. Specific duties will include: supervising back and front of the house operations; ordering and inventory for the district; culinary training; menu and recipe development; employee training/development; hiring/staffing; marketing. He or she will also have support the catering department.
The ideal candidate for this position will also have previous FOH and BOH management experience and previous culinary experience. Knowledge of Sustainable Food Programs and prior experience working in Child Nutrition is preferred.

- Utilizes Sodexo resources and programs to ensure operating standards and regulatory requirements are met and employees have the necessary equipment and inventory
- Manages by providing positive and constructive feedback to employees in order to reward, coach, correct and motivate in order drive a high-level of employee engagement
Basic Education Requirement - High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
