Hyatt Place Milford/New Haven is Presently Accepting Applications for Assistant General Manager. Areas of Direct Responsibility: * To train and instruct other members of the staff by passing along your knowledge and skills. Constantly training Brand Standards and informing staff with new standards. * Analyze problems and formulate plans to get work done quickly including procurement of materials, parts, etc., and necessary scheduling arrangements with a high degree of quality * Keeping Accurate logs and records * Assisting GM with Employee Payroll Hours, HR Files, and Incident Logs * Assisting GM in Managing Housekeeping, Maintenance, and Front Desk Departments * Working in conjunction with Sales Manager to monitor individual & group rooms reservations, F&B sales (i.e. catering), and Meeting room rentals. * Assisting GM with Weekly Housekeeping and FD Schedule * Assisting GM with F&B Inventory Control, Ordering, and Stocking Supplies * Ensure that hotel is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage Hour and Health laws. * Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies are corrected. * Cross Training in Gallery Host and Housekeeping Depts.
* Maintaining Company Policy with Staff * Must be Bilingual and Speak Spanish & English Estimate of Time to be spent: - Operations - 70% - Training - 10% - Administrative- 20%
The position offered may require working, nights, weekends, and holidays (TBD).

Requirements:Candidates with 3+ years of Hotel Experience in Management Capacity will ONLY be considered. CANDIDATES WITH NO HOTEL EXPERIENCE WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION.
