The ideal candidate would understand excellent customer service, the need to anticipate the guests’ needs and deliver food and cocktails quickly, the focus on “clean as you go” techniques of service, and the need to be an expert on the menu including all daily food and drink special item so as to be able to guide the guest in their ordering, thereby ensuring an exceptional client experience. An understanding of bar skills and a knowledge of cocktails and wines including appropriate pairings in addition to proper cash handling are key to this position. In addition, operational focus will include working with the front of house staff as well as the members of the kitchen staff to deliver flawless service to one another and our guests.
Formal Education and Job Related Requirements
Our preference would be that the candidate will possess a minimum of a high school diploma and a one year employment experience in hospitality. Hotel experience is preferred, but not required. Must possesses effective communications skills. Additional requirements: Current food handler card. Bartending certification.
Job-Related Physical Requirements
This position requires the employee to engage in Constant Standing, Walking, Balancing, Lifting/Carrying 10lbs or less, Manual Dexterity, Gross Motor Skills, Near Vision, Far Vision, Color Recognition and Hearing. In addition, the position requires the employee to engage in Frequent Bending Over, Reaching, Lifting/Carrying 11lbs to 25lbs, and Utilize Eye Hand Coordination. Further the position requires Occasional Crouching, Pushing/Pulling, and Lifting/Carrying 26-50lbs. The position involves the following Environmental Factors: Working Inside, Working, Closely with Others, Noise/Vibrations, Working Above Ground, Working with Chemicals/Detergents/Cleaners, Walking on Uneven Surfaces, and Working Around Machinery/Motorized Equipment.
