Reports to – Director of Engineering (no supervisory duties are included in this position)
Job Summary – Maintain clubhouse equipment
Maintains and makes general repairs to plumbing, furniture, woodwork, electrical systems, appliances, elevators, ventilation systems and building structures of the club
Performs various duties involving painting, carpentry, tile/drywall/brick
Maintains the air conditioning, refrigerators, ice makers and pool pumps.
Performs routine preventive maintenance (PM) required by club’s PM procedures.
Repairs small motors.
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools
Basic knowledge in building systems
Experience in minor carpentry, painting, electrical, plumbing, tile, small machines and appliances
Able to service and work on commercial kitchen equipment
Knowledge of central cooling plant, central heating plant, the boiler plant, steam reducing station, air handler units, pumps, fans, and related equipment
Able to perform scheduled and preventative maintenance of equipment, machinery, electrical systems and structures using blueprints, diagrams, manuals and written instructions
Able to troubleshoot, diagnosis and repair malfunctions promptly
Computer and electronic system knowledge
High school diploma or general equivalence diploma (GED)
Must have at least 7 years of commercial maintenance experience, with strong knowledge of mechanical principles and systems
It can be fast paced (a sense of urgency is needed) and stressful, with some exposure to temperature extremes
Must be available and willing to work a flexible schedule (overtime is required on an as needed basis)
Must be available to work some overnights, weekends, and holidays.
