Job Description
The Human Resources Manager originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide a team member-oriented, high performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity, and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce. The Human Resources manager is responsible for the development of processes and metrics that support the achievement of the organization's business goals.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

* Align line staff, management, and the team as a whole to work cohesively and lead them to understand goals as of the Hotel

* Foster a positive work culture and environment through team member engagement programs

* Collaborate with Corporate HR team to develop and create strategic initiatives company wide

* Manage the recruiting, new hire and onboarding process

* Investigate and manage hotel safety-related issues

* Manage operations in compliance with local, state and federal laws, regulations and compliance

* Benefits administration and workers compensation

* Monitor associate’s hotel brand training

* Bridge management and employee relations by addressing demands, grievances or other issues

* Coaching using emotional intelligence and leadership skills
Job Requirements
Requirements:

* Excellent active listening, negotiation and presentation skills

* Requires good communication skills, both verbal and written

* Attention to detail and accuracy

* Customer service orientation

* Knowledge of HR system and database

* Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company

* Prioritizing

* Planning and organizing

* Union experience a plus, but not required

* Bilingual preferred, but not required

* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally

* Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, bending, climbing, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
