Job Summary – (Role Summary)

Manage the development and deployment of multiple application development projects and teams including deployment on complex multi-platform software systems within schedule, cost and quality requirements. Ensure functional correctness and adherence to technical standards of application development. Manage project teams in the planning, designing, developing, testing, deploying, monitoring, and supporting of complex application software systems.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities – (Key Activities)

* Ensure code quality and completeness, as well as adherence to Middleware development standards, and on time project and estimates deliveries

* Bringing continuous improvement concepts to the teams around code quality, oversight, automation, capacity planning, testing, and production status visibility

* Ensure team processes can support both PCI and internal audits at all times

* Coordinate team changes and efforts with impacted peer teams

* Hold teams accountable for following all IHG processes and policies

* Ensure quality code turnovers to the production support team at the end of Warranty periods

* Ensure formal design reviews and design sign-off occurs with both data providers and service consumers

* Track and publish metrics monthly for your team regarding estimates/actuals, on time delivery, on budget delivery, on shore/off shore staffing metrics, average hourly rate metric by grade and role (and any additional metrics as defined)

* Tracking and working within approved budgets at all times

* Recruiting & training of your team; ensuring development plans exist for all full time employees; supporting regular review processes as defined by HR; hold weekly one on one’s with full time employees and team meetings

* Supporting Discovery phases and ensuring requirements meet your teams' needs, and those of the project

Band Level: 6

Salary range: Base plus potential bonus

Job Requirements


Education –

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.

Experience –

8-10 years progressive IT experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines/technologies/processes related to the position, including development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale integrated systems across multiple hardware and software platforms. .

Technical Skills and Knowledge –

● Demonstrated project management experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale development projects from conception through implementation.

● Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills for the purpose of providing and explaining technical information to clients, vendors, senior management and staff.

● Demonstrated ability in leading work teams and or technical staff.

● Strong technical knowledge of computer languages (including database management systems), applications, operating systems, terminology, communications, networks, and hardware capabilities.

● Demonstrated knowledge of system integration issues between diverse platforms.

● Demonstrated experience and knowledge in computing architectures and implementation of networked computing structures.

● This position has significant impact for assigned IT development projects in identifying technical and application solutions and risk factors.

● This position has moderate impact on the company’s ability to achieve revenue and cost targets as influenced by information technology.

● This position also has moderate impact on resource allocation, project costs, schedule and quality levels for assigned area.

This position will work closely with client management, IT development teams, support teams, data center resources, IT management to discuss projects, provide recommendations on improvement opportunities and operating and financial performance.

External Key Relationships –

Key vendors, professional associations, industry experts to keep informed of existing and evolving industry standards
