Job Description

Walker Hotel is seeking friendly and customer service oriented personalities for a part-time Night Auditor position two (2) days per week.  Full time status is available for candidates who are interested in working three (3) additional evening shifts.  

The ideal candidate will have a passion for hospitality and pleasant in manner with excellent verbal and written communication skills.  

Overall duties and responsibilities:

  • Provide guests with a memorable and personalized experience during the guest registration process. Assign guest rooms, establish credit, explain hotel features and update guest profile with all pertinent data.  
  • Assist guests on departure by verifying and posting all outstanding charges, settling credit cards and arranging for luggage and transportation assistance.  
  • Assist guests with directions, restaurant recommendations, theater tickets and other Concierge needs.
  • Communicate guest requests and any issues to the appropriate department and team members. 

Specific Night Auditor Duties:

  • Verify and post all charges to guest accounts including but not limited to room, restaurant, room service, valet charges, etc. to the appropriate folio.  
  • Balance all cash, settle credit card accounts and direct bill payments.  Make adjustments and corrections as needed to ensure accuracy.  
  • Update and backup all systems and set the morning team for a successful shift.
  • Maintain, communicate and distribute all revenue reporting to General Manager, Accounting and supporting team leadership.
  • Perform other duties as specified by Hotel Management.
Job Requirements

All candidates must be responsible and comfortable working an overnight shift two (2) days per week.
The typical overnight shift begins at 11:00 PM through 7:00 AM.

All candidates must be responsible and comfortable working three (3) evening shifts per week.  The typical evening shift begins at 3:00 PM through 11:00 PM to be considered for full-time status.

This position requires fluency in English, both verbal and non-verbal.

All candidates must possess a working knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel in addition to holding basic mathematical skills. Accounting experience is a plus. 

Previous Front Office or Night Audit experience is required.

OPERA Property Management System experience - preferred, but not required.

All candidates should be able to multi-task in a busy environment as well as the flexibility to work nights, overnights, weekends and/or holidays.
