Nature of the Job



Basic Purpose & Objective of the Position


To ensure all prep items are prepared and stored to specifications.

Main Duties

Customer Services


* Delivers the brand promise and provides exceptional guest service at all times.
* Provides excellent service to internal customers.
* Handles all guest and employee complaints and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner. Communicates immediately all guest complaints to EAST Host Supervisors or GE Manager.
* Maintains positive guest and colleague interactions with good working relationships.
* Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service. Establishes guidelines so employees understand expectations and parameters. Ensures employees receive on-going training to understand guest expectations.
* Reviews comment cards, guest satisfaction results and other data to identify areas of improvement.

Financial


* Ensures that all hotel, company and local rules, policies and regulations relating to money handling and licensing are adhered to.

Operational


* Work with minimum supervision.
* Follow prep list and overnight rules and procedure.
* Serve high quality employee food to overnight staff.
* Learn and be familiar with late menu, overnight IRD menu and Starbuck food items.
* Know how to prep and fire breakfast buffet as well as how to set up breakfast station.
* Control quality and consistency of all food served.
* Ensure station is set for service 15 minutes prior to service.
* Ensure all food supplies necessary for service are in appropriate supply on a timely basis.
* Assist in controlling food cost.
* Required to learn all menu items produced by assigned station.
* Refrigeration and serving of cold food. /
* Production of orders.
* Follow sanitation and Enclosure rules and procedure
* Attend mandatory department meeting

People Development


* Supports Swire Hotels' cultural and people development implementations and characteristics

Skills, Qualifications and Experience Requirements


* Graveyard / Overnight Shift from 11:00pm to 7:00am
* Education: High school or equivalent education required.
* Experience: Certified Cook level or higher. Licenses or Certificates:
* Ability to obtain and/or maintain any government required licenses, certificates or permits.
* Grooming: All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance per Starwood standards.
