Job Description


  • Learn and focus on the Sequence of Service and restaurant standards.
  • Full knowledge of all food and beverage offerings.
  • Review any changes to menu and/or specials.
  • Greet and seats guests when needed.
  • Bus tables as necessary.
  • Independent cashier.
  • Prepare and/or delivers guest’s beverage order.
  • Promptly deliver guest’s food and beverage order ensuring quality and accuracy.
  • Attend to guest during their entire experience.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of restaurant and lounge area.
  • Complete all required side work.
  • May be required to be responsible to work with cash and turn in balanced.
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintain appearance standards as outlined in the employee handbook.
  • Provide information and explain all marketing promotions.
  • Provide courteous service and be cordial to all team members and guests.
  • Effectively communicate orally and in writing.
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns raised by employees and guests.
  • Comply with hotel standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Maximize efforts towards productivity, identify problem areas and assist in implementing solutions.
  • Must be effective in handling problems, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must be able to understand and apply complex information, data, etc. from various sources to meet appropriate objectives.
  • Must be able to show initiative, including anticipating guest and operational needs.

  • Must be able to multi task and prioritize departmental functions to meet deadlines.
  • Responsible for maintaining a consistent, regular attendance record.

  • Attend all required hotel meetings and trainings.

  • Employee must at all times be attentive, friendly, helpful and courteous to all guests, managers and fellow employees.
  • Process guests checks, collect cash, process credit cards and room charges to standards.
  • Perform opening and closing side work according to standards to ensure guests are served promptly and efficiently.
  • Welcome guests, take their orders, relay to bartender and kitchen, process order, deliver order to guest and receive payment for order
  • Have knowledge of which garnishes accompany each drink and food dish.
  • Serve guests with all food and beverage requirements in a warm, friendly, courteous and professional manner.
  • Ensure the lounge/restaurant areas are kept clean and tidy.
  • Be familiar with the computer/P.O.S system.
  • Carry out cashiering functions by closing checks via credit card and room charge.
  • Follow all state liquor laws.
  • Assist in maintaining cost controls.
  • Follow prescribed procedures in serving alcohol with care to avoid problems with intoxicated guests, and when necessary, report to management.
  • Complete requisitions to maintain par levels as needed.
  • Stock and clean china, silver, and glassware.
  • Follow all cash handling policies, and prepare closing report for night audit.
  • Prepare all garnishes.
  • Assist in cleaning of tables and all restaurant/lounge area as needed.
  • Ensure overall guest satisfaction.
Job Requirements


  • Will be responsible to make own change.
  • No supervisory authority.
  • Flexible and long hours sometimes required.
  • Must be able to stand for longer than 8 hours.
  • Medium work – Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 20 pounds of force frequently or constantly lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects.
  • Previous bartending experience preferred.
  • Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays & special events as needed.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Excellent oral communications skills.
  • Excellent hygiene habits.
  • Must possess reasonable ability to communicate in English.
  • Must have employment eligibility in the U.S.
