Position Description

This role will be responsible for the day to day building and deployment of email marketing communications to support Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group brands, loyalty program, and hotels globally. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to execute messaging and test email marketing tactics to optimize around 360 customer journey and engagement through real time, lifecycle, and campaign messages.


  • Day-to-day execution of email program, including; uploading assets, building emails through modularized templates, creating/segmenting lists, scheduling emails, setting up tests and conducting quality assurance
  • Manage the build, deployment and monitoring of campaign, triggered, and transactional real-time email programs, including optimization of existing programs and development of new programs
  • Troubleshoot campaign rendering issues and work with internal IT teams and external agency to provide solutions, including technical issues related to HTML templates, broken links, list segmentation and other aspects of email execution, as required
  • Facilitate campaign approval process on behalf of all necessary internal stakeholders
  • Complete QA on all emails being deployed to ensure minimal errors

    • Audience validation
    • Obtain required sign-off prior to all campaigns deploying
  • Contribute to the overall success of the email marketing program by staying on top of email marketing channel best practices, trends, innovative ideas, and competitive programs


  • Minimum 2+ years of experience in technical email deployment
  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, business, or marketing or equivalent experience
  • Experience with Epsilon HARMONY or other similar email deployment tool is required
  • Knowledge of HTML and/or scripting languages (ex: Freemarker or PERL)
  • Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple timelines/projects at the same time
  • Ability to establish mutually productive relationships with internal and external partners
  • A self-starter with minimal need for day-to-day direction
