Job Description

Responsible for proper receiving, storing and issuing of all food and beverage products in the food, beverage and general storerooms.


1. Receives and unpacks incoming orders, check against requisition items and invoices.
2. Ensure that all PAR levels are maintained at all times
3. Work directly with the Executive Chef and Executive Sous Chef to ensure that all Event Food is ordered correctly and delivered on time.
4. Assist Porters with daily checklists as needed
5. Fill out and manage requisitions of outlets to ensure timely delivery of products to the various departments in the hotel for proper distribution and accountability of products
6. Inspect and unpack all merchandise received, stock and store it.
7. Assist manager in keeping the storeroom properly organized.
8. Assist in labeling and dating with all food items and canned goods; also have a working knowledge of first in/first out (F.I.F.O.) rotation.
9. Communicates with Vendors both verbally and in writing on matters relating to supplies
10. Perform routine custodial duties and responsible for the cleaning of all storerooms i.e. garbage removal, general cleaning, organization of inventory
11. Assist in end-of-month inventories.
12. Assembles, adjust and/ or repairs articles carried in stock.
13. Occasionally assist in prepping
14. Assist manager in the inspection of the refrigeration units and brings to his attention any deviation from the set temperatures as well as any deterioration of the quality of the perishables (record temperature on a daily log).
15. Start a list for out of stocks/goods not received "items" so that follow-up can be made.
16. Verify that no requisitions are left open (all requisitions should be completed and closed out).
17. Check and lock all coolers/storeroom doors before departure at end-of-day.

Job Requirements

1. Prior storeroom/purchasing experience a plus
2. High school diploma or equivalent preferred
The shift for this position is 7am-3pm including holidays as needed.
