Position Description

The Vice President-Marketing Americas is responsible for the creation and execution of strategic marketing programs that build consumer awareness, deliver exceptional experiences, and ultimately drive loyalty of the Radisson Hotel Group brands throughout the Americas. Performance measurement will centre on increasing guest acquisition, deepening guest engagement with the brands, and driving revenue growth at or above industry level of return on investment. The VP – Marketing, Americas will have supervisory and leadership responsibility for Brand Marketing, Digital Marketing, Field Marketing, Social Media, Consumer PR and theatre-based activation application of Loyalty for the US, Canada, Mexico and Latin America.Drive the leadership, direction and development of RHG consumer and business marketing strategy, plans and execution for the Americas

  • Coordinate Americas marketing strategy and input to the development of global brand programs in line with the priorities set by the Global Commercial Steering Committee
  • Identify primary guest target segments and deliver best-in-class content and solutions through direct and partner channels
  • Develop consumer marketing strategies to successfully strengthen consumer perceptions around the brand; driving awareness, growth and loyalty through above the line, digital, social and earned-media PR channels
  • Ensure consistent observation of corporate brand guidelines at all guest touch points
  • Develop the roadmap of demand-generating approaches to Field Marketing to deliver greater value to owner stakeholders and RHG
  • Act as a key stakeholder and voice of the guest in major product development and guest experience innovation
  • Provide leadership, support and brand stewardship to business to business brand program owners in the areas of Development, Operations, Revenue Optimization, Sales and Strategic Sourcing
  • Devise new strategy for Americas agency support based on market leading operating principles for client support, scope and billing
  • Activate relationships with new and existing commercial partners to extend speed to market, reach and ongoing consumer engagement for RHG
  • Develop and manage the Americas marketing budget, including administration of brand marketing funds, to ensure marketing programs executed are ROI optimized
  • Consistently champion the RHG brand values, its people values and Social Impact initiatives, acting as a role model both within the team and externally


  • 10+ years of marketing experience
  • Domain expertise and experience in the areas of brand marketing, digital marketing, field marketing activation, social media and public relations
  • Strong understanding the key components of frequency marketing and hotel guest loyalty program dynamics
  • Ability to provide leadership and work within a complex stakeholder environment
  • Combination of creative and critical thinking, creative delivery and strong analytical abilities
  • Knowledge of hotel operations and key property-level commercial delivery processes
  • Strong project management abilities, prioritizing and handling multiple projects simultaneously, under tight time constraints and within budget parameters
  • Demonstrated commitment to leading and inspiring the engagement and development of marketing team members
  • Proven record of being able to influence decisions and outcomes and work collaboratively across geographies, functions and business to deliver results.
